Voicemail Regression (2009), video displayed on a cell phone, 55 secs. The audio (which is single-track and unedited) was created accidentally when I left a v-mail for a friend, Julie Jackson, while simultaneously picking up a wrong-number v-mail left for me by someone else. I unconsciously timed my message to match the length of the message I was listening to, and Julie's answering machine picked up both v-mails, which both concerned retail transactions. Julie used her cell phone to video the audio playback and upload it to Flickr, where I re-"filmed" it off my monitor.   More videos
